Kingdom of Minreal: Call for Aid!

Post#1 » January 12th, 2017, 1:33 am

A note is tacked to the backroom board in a neat, precise handwriting:

Syndicate,

About the Minrealians: We should meet to discuss whether this mission is worth our aid, before we agree to anything. A vote would be most wise.

Q.

~~~~~~~~
This is a call for a guild meeting for those interested in this RP event: Sometime any evening before this coming Badger Night (Monday, January 16th). Please post the best times/dates for you!
Addendum: This is posted on our In-Game Guild Wall as well. Feel free to reply here, there or in an in-game mail to any Consortium member or myself. Preferably sooner rather than later, so we can give the Minreal people a timely answer, and to aid in planning. Thanks!
We threw together and impromptu guild meeting, and accepted their mission. Things were looking good until we got Victoria to show us a vision of their kingdom, via the crystal on Lovathos' staff. Enter: Big Fucking Dragon. Well, crap.
Anyway, Duede, Victoria, Xehela, and Xamen have great ideas for how to help!
RP with them to know how you can help/be helped between now and the event would be awesome. If items are needed, list it and we'll see what we can get farmed up for you.
EVENT INFO:
~Sunday, January 15, at 7pm server.
~Zanbrina/Notoria is requesting for this event:
Approx. # of people involved
Any special abilites
Any made weapons/shields so she can include them.
(These can be posted in a reply to this. Xosh has outlined some great RP abilities, and I'm sure would help discussing if you're confused.)
~Based on her meri, I am assuming d20 & D&D rules will apply.
This will also be posted on the Guild Wall, in game.
Thanks!
Zoe will be involved!!
Loosely using D&D rules because I don't want to try and figure out level...
Armor/Weapons:
Plate armor - Disadvantage to sneak/stealth rolls. However, advantage to defense.
Shield - Bonus to defense.
One-handed mace - Bludgeoning damage. Not attuned to any plane or magic, but is expertly crafted.
Abilities:
Armor of Treachery - Increases armor rating, resistances (slightly), and base health.
Provoke - 3 uses per session. Forces the target to attack Zoe.
Bolt of Radiance - 1 use per session. Zoe infuses her mace with Life power, charging a bolt of energy that does a massive amount of damage.
Quenn will be there as well!
She is a Shadow Dancer, with speed and sharp, precise strikes and evasive moves, but if she does get hit, she's in trouble.
Armor/Weapons:
Light leather armor
One handed daggers – 2x
Throwing daggers – x4
Soul Based Abilities:
Assassin Soul – Assassinate (Damage bonus from stealth)
Blade Dancer Soul – Side Steps (dodge/evades)
Rift Stalker Soul – Shadow Shift (teleport)
Special Skills:
Poison Mastery (probably n/a to this event)
Slip Away (Break combat to stealth away)
Precision Strike (Knowledge of anatomy and making hits count)
Dirty fighting (anything is a weapon)
If you are making any special weapons or items to dole out/share, they can go in a separate list than your normal weapons, and we will let Notoria know.
Vissy will be there and actually wearing armor for once!
Armor/Weapons:
Chain armor - Lightweight, good coverage.
Broom - Vissy's broom is enchanted with water magic to give it a MUCH heavier strike than expected. (2h hammer, basically)
Abilities:
Shaman/Warden: Vissy's essentially a water bender, she can call it, control it, use it to heal or use it to attack. She can call a little air magic to freeze her water as needed, but she can't do it too many times or she gets tired. +2 to heals because that's what she does most often.
Deep Freeze: Vissy soaks a small group in water and freezes them in place for a while. She can do this twice per battle.
Glacial Shield: Vissy wraps herself in ice to absorb most of an incoming blow. She can do this twice per battle.
Geyser: Vissy calls all the water in the area to the center of the battle, healing allies and harming foes. She can do this once per battle.
Note: Vissy is very water attuned, that's her jam. This can be a weakness in some cases. She's also a pacifist, she will likely stand back and throw little heals as needed unless she gets pissed off.
"Empty the Crypts" will raise existing dead on the battlefield for 2 rounds of attacks (1 use)
Main attacks: Corpse Talon, Dark Touch, Necrosis and Reaper's Touch* (legendary=bonus?)
Self-heal attacks: Soul Crystal (returns health equal 30% of damage done) and Draining Bolt (returns
10% of max health on successful hit)
Special Ability: Lich Form. In RP, if Duende dies in battle, she'll leave her body and continue to fight in spectral form for 3 rounds.
Barring any wife/child interference xamen will be there.
Armor/Weapons:
A robe, possibly pants.
Maintains Warlock Armor at all times. May use Neddra's Essence (blocks 80% of all damage for 7 seconds).
2-Handed staff infused with death magic and the soul of a disagreeable somewhat minor demon bound within.
A curved and rather sharp dagger.
Abilities:
Death saturation/mastery: extremely resistant to and adept at using death magic.
Constant life/essence drain within close proximity. If uninterrupted and given time can be used to heal at his expense.
Curses (damage): Dark Touch (applies Life Leech and Neddra's Grasp due to mastery), Necrosis, Atrophy, Defile, Death's Door
Radiate Death: spreads curse to 5 other targets, curse em all!
Void Bolt, or if he's really pissed off Void Barrage (legendary-applies all curses), more damage the more curses applied.
Life/essence drain: Life Leech, Draining Bolt, Mortality.
Fear
Choke (interrupts and debilitates target as they gasp for breath).
Saytralia
Armour:
Full empyrean quality plate armour
Weapons:
Carceran Berzerker Axe (one-handed Earthtouched axe): Slashing damage
Aegis of Souls (Deathtouched shield): Heavy shield type
Abilities (passive):
Earthborn Deathguard: Resistant to and adept at manipulating Earth and Death energy.
Tank up!: A fierce and hardy warrior, Saytralia can take punishment that would down others in a fight. For one round after taking lethal damage, Saytralia can still act, but may only attempt a retreat or use offensive abilities. Being healed by an ally will keep her from dying, but she will fall unconscious (stable).
Soul Abilities (active):
Void (from Void Knight): Gives additional damage reduction
Fusion of Flesh (from Void Knight): Create an absorb shield around Saytralia that can withstand a massive amount of damage for one round.
Ameliorate (from Liberator: Restores health over 4 seconds to Saytralia and allies around her over 4 seconds (channeled)
Tempest (from Void Knight): Deals Air damage to up to 10 nearby enemies. Generates significant threat.
Special Abilities
Taunt: Being a natural loudmouth and manipulating certain energies, Saytralia can let loose a slew of insults at a single target or up to 10 creatures around her, forcing their attention on her.
Propulsion: Using her immense elemental-Earth infused strength, Saytralia can attempt to either charge an enemy or perform a standing (non-damage) strike to propel a target directly away from her (chance to knock prone).
The Soothing Earth: The stone atop Saytralia's shoulders are not just for show. At her command, they will emit a radiant energy that is capable of stabilising a dying creature that she touches and maintains contact with. After concentrating for one minute, the creature is raised to 1 hit point with any poison, bleeding, necrotic and paralysing effects suspended while she maintains contact with the creature
As long as im still feeling ok, i will be there
Armor/Weapons: Xeh wears reinforced robes. She wields a scythe of stone and ice.
Maintains Harmony of the Elements, which increases damage done by her earth, fire and air spells by 10% and a burning shield - damage absorbing armor.
Abilities:
Xehela is an elemental in a kelari body. Earth is her domain. As an 'elementalist' she can summon smaller earth elementals (also fire and air but seldom water). She has an innate command of the earth element and can manipulate stone. Her second strongest element is fire which she will use along earth magic to create rains of fire and volcano like effects/molten earth and crystal bolts.
She also has been a long time proponent of tandem magic. Using her own magic and weaving into other people's magic to create stronger, larger effects. In particular she is comfortable working magic together with Xosh, Duende and Xamen. Because of her familiarity with these three in particular, her knowledge and comfort with death magic is high.
Xehela has very little ability to feel pain.
Thank you to everyone to made their thingies, and for showing up to the event. I know it was large, and chaotic, but you all ran with it and looked good doing so. I appreciate everyone reaching out and RPing with a new group, even if the situation wasn't super in character to do so. Having a big ass group of Syndicate show up to something and rep it hard was so awesome to see, and I'm proud of all of you!
Those who IC felt/still feel weird, I ask you to be cordial when you see them in the Badger. We are a hard, scary lot to deal with, that are hardly Lawful Good heroes - and that's okay! I wouldn't ask you to be any other way. No one is required to antagonize, or even kiss asses. Good RP is about doing what your character would do.
TL;DR: We came, we saw, we looted the bodies. No contract was signed, but we still have it. You do you, booboo. <3
